    Sub: - Proposal for starting Film Clubs in all GDCs – Reg.
    Ref: - APSFTVTDC/Sub/Film Clubs/2011dated.16-6-2010.
With reference to the subject, it is to inform that the students in Degree Colleges (GDCs) may not be matured enough to distinguish between mainstream entertainment films and good, educational, meaningful and aesthetic movies. Therefore, starting Film Clubs in all Govt. Degree Colleges at a time may not serve the purpose. As there has been a practice of showing films by the Film Societies in the districts, giving wide publicity about it among the students may be taken up.
However, the Film Clubs can be started initially in select GDCs mentioned below on experimental basis and based on the feedback; Film Clubs will be started in other Colleges in a phased manner.
