COCANADA FILM CLUB INAUGURATED IN PR GOVERNMENT COLLEGE AT KAKINADA
P.R.GOVERNMENT COLLEGE,KAKINADA has inaugurated CAMPUS FILM CLUB on 7th December 2010.The
College Principal Dr.M.Satyanarayana chaired the event and explained to the students regarding OBJECTIVES and activities of the club
and inspired the students to know about the media and meaning full cinema. Further he enunciated that the visual media is one of the important tool
in disseminating the knowledge.
The Chief Guest of the function Sri Aanand Varala,(Librarian of SRR Govt college Karimnagar and Secretary,Federation of Film societies of India)
delivered his inaugural lecture. He said that Cinema is a power full media to be learned and appreciated. Students should know the strengths of the media.
Cinema is not mere entertainment it has another facet of art and information. The students should view and review the meaning full cinema and learn the techniques
of making by which the new avenue of profession will be opened in Entertainment industry and tv media he said.Later Aanand presented a power point presentation
on BIRTH AND EVOLUTION OF CINEMA.
Students and Faculty members were present in big number.
In the feed back session students requested for help in script writing. The Principal immediately responded to organise one day script writing workshop with
the help of Aanand Varala and FFSI soon.
Later Dr.Satyanarayana received five DVDs of internationally acclaimed films from FFSI
