FIRST ENGINEERING COLLEGE CAMPUS FILM INAUGURATED IN AITAM TEKKALI

First Campus Film Club in an Engineering college has come up in Aditya Institute of Technology and Management Sciences at Tekkali a remote town In Srikakulam District of Andhra Pradesh. And it is affiliated to the Federation of Film Societies of India. The club was formally inaugurated by The Secretary of the federation Mr. Aanand Varala on 19 of April 2011. Speaking on the occasion Aanand said that Cinema is not merely entertainment media but it can also be used for a social change. The film club in a campus will provide an opportunity to view good and meaningful films and the students may also learn the technique of making films and choose the media as career. The college academic Director Prof.Nageshwer Rao said that the management of AITAM college is ready to provide all the support for the film club activities in the campus, further he assured that they will organize a film making workshop in the next academic year with the support of FFSI. The college Principal Mr. Ramakrishna Rao, the club President Mr.Murali and student convener Mr.Santhosh, Murali Krishna, Ramesh and others participated. The Academic Director Nageshwer Rao released the club logo and Mr.Aanand has made a presentation on the history of cinema and the opportunities to students in the films and electronic media.
The response from the students is encouraging for the club said the student convener Mr. Santhosh, a third year engineering student
